Microsoft wants Yahoo

by Lenka Lehenova

Everybody uses computer and internet very often. It is not new for people. They are used to work with it every day. Thanks to it we can always find fresh information and to be in touch with all world. If we are looking for something on the web we have to use one of locaters to find it. Big competitors, Yahoo and Google, are very popular and the most used companies. Yahoo could be menace to Google because Microsoft would like to take over a company. Then Yahoo would be stronger and it would become big rival for Google. But firstly, Yahoo has to accept Microsoft's offer and it hasn't happened yet. †Software giant offered 42 billion dollars but Yahoo Inc's second-biggest investor urged Microsoft Corp to raise this bid and rejected Microsoft's plan for the company saying that it didn't properly assess the value of Yahoo. Microsoft's bid constitutes 31 dollars per share but Yahoo doesn't want to consider offer which is less than 40 dollars per share. If Microsoft wants to complete deal it will need to enhance its offer. Analysts expect that Microsoft will raise its bid to at least 35 dollars a share. †Yahoo also started to think about partnership agreement with Google. According to analysts it could increase both profits of companies but there could come into being troubles with antimonopoly authority.I think that we all are quite curious how Yahoo will decide. Maybe it will remain independent or together with Google will create very strong company.
