Telecom networks battling for a position
by Zuzana Moravcova
The online search and advertising markets create a battleground that is rapidly reshaping the technology and media industries today. The world's largest software maker, Microsoft Corp., thinks buying Yahoo would be the best way to counteract Google's dominance on the market. However, media conglomerate News Corp. is interested in folding its popular online social network, Myspace.com, and other Internet assets into Yahoo. But hat is just an example of the market fights, that are caused by soaring value of every social network. Powerful online social network, or online community is attractive from several perspectives, such as social networking, entrepreneurial activity, and also online advertising. Community members with high participation in information, and high emotional commitment exchange are most crucial to the success and also sustainability of a user community. There are more interesting strategies to focus on, when running a successful social telecom network. SigEx SuperPBX, that delivers digital stream broadcasting to the newest digital social networks, can be considered an innovator in global two-way interaction. Its "meet or delete"strategy is based on meeting new interesting people across the world, such as in everyday life, but with the advantage of deciding whether to meet, talk to, or ignore other users without worrying of bad relationships that might be easily developed in real life. "Our focus on the 'meet or delete' strategy continues to drive the network," said Chris Cantell, SigEx Chief Executive Officer. "We are very pleased with how well quality entertainment is offering the ultimate user experience." SigEx SuperPBX combines revolutionary broadcasting services from big media players with enhanced telecom capacity, including four-way video-conferencing, video-rooms, integrated phone services, or SMS communications, delivering social network partners' social grids to the user. According to the financial results of the fiscal year 2007, this strategy seem to be very successful. "We are very pleased with how well quality entertainment is offering the ultimate user experience," said Cantell.
